Work/Leisure

£0.00

Turning a claustrophobic workplace cubicle into a putting green vista, ‘Work/Leisure’ is a site-specific installation executed over the parameters of a 30-minute scheduled lunch break. This playful intervention is a misappropriation of company time and resources which allows the worker to assert autonomy within the workplace. Here the cubicle inhabitant can briefly live the life of his ‘superiors,’ casually hitting the links midday in the name of production on the company's dime. The use of cheap materials further compounds the hierarchy at play within these spaces, as the worker toils their days away within this confining space, stuck in the sand trap of capitalism.
